My Story

Hello, Everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. My name is Ashley Soukhamneut and I am the momma behind “Scents with Souk.” We are currently stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, NM. I have the greatest privilege of being a stay at home mom to my two boys, Jayce & Oliver. I married my high school sweetheart, Suriyun. He’s my best friend and I’m so happy to be on this adventure called “Life” with him.

My journey with Scentsy started after a candle & crafting accident. I was trying to create custom tumblers and an Etsy shop as a way to have something to do at home as a stay at home mom. I didn’t have any money for materials, so I began stripping cups with acetone in my kitchen. I didn’t even stop to think anything of the invisible fumes floating around and catching the flame of the candle. This left our family completely devastated. We lived with family and friends for a few months while sorting out what to do next. I was embarrassed and shameful that I had put my family in that predicament.

Fast forward a few months— things started to come together. We were back in a house of our own and had slowly rebuilt our furnishings and all the things that were destroyed. I was invited to an online Scentsy party March 2018. We had enough wiggle room in our budget for me to order some Scentsy. I quickly added over a hundred dollars in my cart. I exited the website and started to contemplate ordering or joining. I went back and forth for a few days before I eventually joined Scentsy. I remember being terrified that I had just wasted my money.

It quickly turned into something that I had just for myself. It was writing thank you notes, making samples, and just sharing my favorites online. I started to let go of the guilt I felt over the candle accident. I started to look forward to things again. I felt happier and more confident.

As it started to progress, I found myself again.

I am so proud of where we are almost three years later. I am thankful to share my wickless journey with everyone. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Thank you all for being on this journey. I am extremely thankful ♥️
